Turkish honey exports reached 11.5 million dollars in 4 months
The value of honey exports from Turkey reached 11,477,245 dollars during the January-April period.
Saffet Kalyoncu, the President of the Eastern Black Sea Exporters Association, stated that Turkey sold honey to 40 countries, autonomous regions, and free zones in 4 months. He emphasized that during this period, 3,007 tons of honey exports generated a revenue of 11,477,245 dollars. Kalyoncu stated, "The United States, Germany, and Spain were the top 3 countries where the most external sales were made. During this period, 3,963,636 dollars worth of honey was exported to the United States, 3,126,576 dollars to Germany, and 608,580 dollars to Spain."
Highlighting the diversity of countries in honey exports, Kalyoncu reported that unlike the same period last year, honey was also sold to Slovenia, the Philippines, the Czech Republic, France, Albania, Nepal, Switzerland, and Morocco during this period.
Kalyoncu emphasized their aim to increase honey exports, noting that European Union countries and Japan have been identified as target markets for this purpose.
