"THY's Order for 220 Airbus Aircraft is One of the Largest Orders We Received in 2023"
Airbus Turkey President Simon Ward said that one of their main business partners in expanding their supply chains in Turkey is TAI.
Stating that there are 17 suppliers of different sizes in Turkey, producing various products from body parts to fuel tanks, from winglets to rivets and electrical wiring, Ward emphasized that in addition to these, they want to be a leading business partner in Turkey's work in the field of sustainability.
Ward said, "We are in talks with our business partners operating in different fields about which areas we can contribute with our expertise. We have a goal of reaching net zero emissions by 2050, and this is not a goal that can be achieved without the contribution of the entire sector." said.
Stating that Istanbul has always been the center of the world for the aviation industry, Ward said, "You can reach one third of the world's population with a 4-hour flight. As a matter of fact, we see that the number of passengers of Istanbul Airport is increasing and it became the most crowded airport in Europe in January. " he said.
