Kahramanmaraş, the export leader in the earthquake zone

Kahramanmaraş Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KMTSO) Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mustafa Olmatu, stated that Kahramanmaraş was at the top of the exports from the earthquake zone in February, increasing its foreign sales by 130 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.

Evaluating the February 2024 export figures announced by the Ministry of Commerce on the basis of provinces of activity, Kenditu said in his written statement that the city has the highest export increase among the provinces in the earthquake zone.

Stating that the province with the highest export increase in February 2024 was Kahramanmaraş with an increase of 130.9 percent, the city was followed by Hatay with an increase of 127.5 percent and Osmaniye with an increase of 111.1 percent, Buluttu said that there are 100 cities across Turkey. He stated that among the provinces that export million dollars, Kahramanmaraş is the province with the highest increase in exports, after Yalova, compared to the same month last year.

It increased by 130.9 percent compared to last year.
