Western Anatolia Free Zone opened its gates

The opening of the Western Anatolia Free Zone, the construction of which was completed in 9 months, was attended by the Minister of Commerce, Prof. Dr. It was held with the participation of Ömer Bolat. It is aimed for the region to provide employment for a thousand people and reach an export figure of 70 million dollars by the end of 2025.

The official opening of the Western Anatolia Free Zone, which is Turkey's 19th free zone and which will employ 20 thousand people when it reaches full capacity, will provide 4 billion dollars of trade and 2 billion dollars of exports annually, was held by the Minister of Commerce, Prof. Dr. It was held with a ceremony attended by Ömer Bolat.

It is aimed to provide 20 million dollars of exports by employing 500 people in the region by the end of 2024, with the companies that have received investment licenses starting production, and to reach 70 million dollars of exports by employing 1,000 people by the end of 2025.

Speaking at the opening of BASBAŞ, which was built on an area of 2.5 million square meters in the Yukarıkırıklar neighborhood of Bergama, is expected to provide employment for 20 thousand people, and is expected to achieve an annual trade volume of 4 billion dollars and exports of 2 billion dollars, Bolat said, “BASBAŞ will shine like a star in the Turkish economy.

"The economy of Izmir and the Northern Aegean will be strengthened with the investment, production, employment and exports here," he said. Bolat said, “The factories will be completed in a short time and will make great contributions to our country's economy in terms of production, investment and exports, with environmentally friendly investments, renewable energy.

Free zones are very important in international trade in order to provide employment and earn foreign currency. Stating that they believe that the Bergama Free Zone will be successful, Bolat said, “This free zone in the Bakırçay Basin, very close to the ports, will add great value in terms of agricultural, industrial and touristic wealth, as well as commercial wealth and international trade.

We achieved 30 percent of the 31 billion dollar trade volume as export revenue. Our main goals are to produce research, development, high value-added innovation and technology-oriented goods and services in our free zones. "Both production, exports and bringing foreign currency to our country are among the most important goals in establishing these free zones," he said.

It will be the first free zone with 5G infrastructure

Dr. Güler emphasized that they adopted a sustainable and environmentally friendly approach as the first free zone in Turkey with 5G infrastructure and said: “We have completed the infrastructure in the first phase of the zone, which is 1.5 million square meters, to meet our 30-year needs.

It is very important for target investors to find qualified intermediate staff. I claim that companies that will invest here will not have a shortage of intermediate staff. "We will prepare our vocational high school and vocational school graduates, who will go through the training programs we will prepare in advance, for our investors."

Minister of Commerce Bolat visited the organized industrial zone in Izmir

Minister of Commerce Ömer Bolat said that they aim to bring 377 billion dollars of foreign currency to the country this year with 267 billion dollars of goods and 110 billion dollars of service exports. Minister Bolat visited Izmir Atatürk Organized Industrial Zone Directorate and held a meeting with the board of directors.

Stating that organized industrial zones are of great importance in the country's industrialization drive, Bolat noted that organized industrial zone investments developed with cluster projects made great progress during the AK Party period.

Bolat explained that they increased the number of organized industrial zones from around 190 to 382, 348 of which are in the Ministry of Industry and Technology and 34 of which are in the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, and that these places contribute greatly to production and exports. Pointing out that Izmir exports approximately 24 billion dollars and imports 13 billion dollars annually, Bolat stated that the increase in domestic production and export markets is of great importance in the development of the industry.
