Bakan Bolat: Our year-end target for service exports is 100 billion dollars

Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat stated, 'We aim to reach the service export target of 110 billion dollars by the year-end, thereby making another significant contribution to closing the current account deficit.'

Minister Bolat stated in a social media post that they organized the Service Export Strategy Conference in Sakarya with the participation of business people.

Bolat emphasized that service exports have experienced rapid growth globally in recent years and hold a vital place in national economies in terms of generating economic value. He pointed out that the sector, which is increasing its position in world trade, accounts for two-thirds of global GDP and 50% of employment.

Indicating their commitment to advancing Turkey, Bolat noted:

“We intend to continue the same successes in 2024. With this momentum, we aim to reach the year-end target of 110 billion dollars in service exports and thereby make another significant contribution to closing the current account deficit. I express my gratitude to our Service Exporters Association (HİB) and its Chairman Mr. Şekib Avdagiç, who have always been with us on our journey to achieve this goal. As the Ministry of Trade, we will continue to fulfill our responsibility in every field to make our country's economy one of the largest in the world and to increase the welfare of our citizens.”
