Another first from Baykar: It ranked among the top 10 exporters in Turkey

Baykar General Manager Haluk Bayraktar stated that Baykar is one of Turkey's top 10 exporters, saying, 'For the past 3 years, we have been the undisputed export leader in the defense and aerospace sectors. For the first time in Turkish export history, a defense and aerospace company has entered the top 10 exporters.'

The 'Export Champions' award ceremony, hosted by the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), took place at the Haliç Congress Center with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Baykar, the export champion in the defense and aerospace industry sector, also became one of Turkey's top 10 exporters. The award was presented to Haluk Bayraktar by President Erdoğan.

In his statement on the matter, Haluk Bayraktar emphasized that Baykar is one of Turkey's top 10 exporters and has been the undisputed export leader in the defense and aerospace sector for the past 3 years.

Bayraktar also highlighted that they are the firm that exports to the most countries in the world in the field of high-technology UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles), stating, 'For the first time in Turkish export history, a defense and aerospace company has entered the top 10 exporters. So, how did Baykar, which started as an initiative in the UAV technology field, achieve this success? We started with the Bayraktar Mini UAV, a 6-kilogram aircraft, in the early 2000s. We invested in R&D for 7 years. During these 7 years, we didn't earn a single penny.' 

We conducted all our projects entirely with our own resources," 

Bayraktar emphasized, highlighting that they invested all their capital in R&D activities. He stated:

"However, we believed that UAVs would bring about a paradigm shift on the battlefield and would be the technology of the future. We worked tirelessly day and night with our team, believing that this journey we embarked on would spark an impact for our country. We climbed the stairs step by step. We researched, developed nationally and originally, manufactured, witnessed the entry of our national UAVs into inventory, and saw them change the world. Our efforts, which started with just a single drill, grew. Today, we have become a large family of 4,500 people.

We carried out all our projects entirely with our own resources. With just one product, the Bayraktar TB2 UAV, we became the export leader. Now we are also making export agreements for Bayraktar AKINCI. So far, we have signed export contracts with 34 countries. We have become one of the world's top 100 companies in defense and aerospace. We are happy and proud. This pride is also attributed to the support we always feel from our nation. We will continue to work to be useful to our nation and humanity. Because our dream and goal, which transcends centuries, is Bayraktar KIZILELMA."
